Over the past few weeks, the Mexico all-female pop group, Fandango has been hinting around to new music coming. As soon as June hit, it was all rainbows for the group as Pride month began. Like most music artists, Fandango hopped on the #loveislove bandwagon to promote LGBT+ awareness as well as promoting the upcoming release of their new single, “Todos Quieren Bailar Conmigo”.
All over social media, the members of the group have been posting teasers for the upcoming song. Rocio, Sandra, Anabella, and Alexa make up the group’s line-up. Each member represents an era of the group’s history and together, they are reconnecting with fans and music.
I’ve been a long time fan of the group, since their big debut in 1987. I even have their logo tattooed on my arm. When Fandango returned to the music scene after a twenty-eight year hiatus, it was like a kid in a candy store. Fandango has had a strong fan based for the last 10 years that have been celebrating on Facebook groups. It was probably the idea of still having so many fans that prompted the girls to reunite. Since their comeback, we have had four different songs. “Todos Quieren Bailar Conmigo” will be the fifth new song from the group and we hope there will be more.
Everything is indie now so if the girls want radio play, they need a strong marketing team behind them. Fans can only do so much but with streaming services, who needs labels. A strong fan base can be all that as artist needs.
This will be the first song remake from the Sueños Magicos album. I think fans were hoping to see the title song remade. Personally, I would have loved to hear “Dos Corazones En La Obscuridad”. Every fan has their favorite song but with Pride Month in everyone’s faces, “Todos Quieren Bailar Conmigo” was the right choice. I start vacation today and I wanted to have all my reviews done for this coming Sunday. If I would have left tomorrow, this review would have been included. Hopefully, I will find time between tomorrow and Saturday to include this song in our SUNDAY reviews. Let’s see…
“Todos Quieren Bailar Conmigo” drops tomorrow on all streaming channels and I think the video will be on You Tube too. Go Fandango!
