There’s no stopping the music with Fangoria and the new EP, released June 2021.
Fangoria has done it again. The band released a new EP on June 4, 2021 and it is incredible. No, I am not biased. Okay, maybe I am a little. With a sneak peek on April 9th, the band released the first single, “Momentismo absoluto” (Absolute momentism), we got ready for whatever was next for the band.
It hasn’t been that long since we took a journey through the years with Fangoria’s two last albums Extrapolaciones y dos respuestas (Extrapolations and two responses). They released those at the end of 2019 and now, we have even more new music.Â
The group’s first single, “Momentismo absoluto” (Absolute momentism), keeps the same sound as we have been hearing from the band. It’s pop. It’s dance. Last week, Apple Music recommended another song from the album “Satanismo, arte abstracto y Acid House” (Satanism, abstract art and Acid House), which was essentially an instrumental song like most Acid House mixes.
When the EP dropped, we learn that there Satanism and abstract art also comes in two other versions. We get a “rock and roll” version that references the early rock style of music seen with Chuck Berry and Fats Domino. The other version is “techno-pop.” It is very techno with a hint of ’80s new wave. This version is almost an updated Dinarama style.
The third song of five is entitled, “Fantasmagoria,” which is a made-up word that combines “fantasma” (ghost) and Fangoria. The song isn’t the best of the album but it is the second best. Fangoria is good at giving fans awesome music and staying true to their music while growing and expanding. Love this little EP. Give us more.
