Surfing Twitter, I came across a new band Bravo Fisher!. They are not really new but they new to me and when I listened to the first track then the second, I knew they were my next review. Who are these people and where has their music been all my life?
In researching the band, or should I say the guy that is Bravo Fisher!, this is not the first album. I like to start with the first album when I can but the actual debut album is an English language album. While it won some awards, even their record label, Subterfuge thinks of this album as the first.
El Valle Invisible is a concept album that takes the listener on a journey of a person who leaves home in the first song and returns to redeem himself in the last. It takes 10 songs to get through the struggles of the journey. Now, if I knew Spanish, I might know all of this through the lyrics of the songs. What I knew is that I turned on this album and fell in love. There are not many albums that make me say WHOA. I mean, I like a lot of music but there was something that stopped me in my tracks. The last band to do that was Belanova from Mexico.
The music has a great beat and together with the lyrics, I can see myself singing along with him. I am glad to see pop is not dead and that it back and better than ever. I know this album is from 2013 but when I found the Bravo Fisher, I heard new music. I can’t wait to get into more of his music. It is worth it to start here and give him a list.
