The last time we talked about Ginebras, the all girl pop-punk bad were cheerleaders singing about their “Chico Pum“. The band released an album last year and we are back with the first single since their album release. “La Ciudad Huele A Sudor” (The City Smells Of Sweat) is the newest single by the Ginebras.
Hailing from Spain, these bad-ass girls have nothing but a good time when they are making their video for the song. I’ve seen this in all their videos but in “La Ciudad Huele A Sudor”, the four band members of Ginebras have a good time in the city with watermelon. You can’t take them seriously with their videos but when it comes to music, that is a different story.
I am automatically drawn to the high octane of their music. From start to finish, Ginebras are go go go. There is never a down moment in this song and I like that. Its not a slow verse with a fast chorus. We have 100% till the end. The song was written during the pandemic so picture 104 degrees in Madrid in a 500 square foot house with no air conditioners. That is basically the premise of the song. Its too damn hot and the city smells like sweat.
Ginebras has given us a damn good song and I am waiting for me.
