How we sometimes find artists on Twitter is by liking one artist and another one comes up. This is how we found out about this little indie all-girl band called Ginebras. Chick Rock rules. This is why I had to give this group a listen.
The band features four female musicians: Magüi (guitar and lead vocals), Sandra (guitar and chorus), Raquel (bass), and Juls (drums). The band released their first EP last year, and they are looking forward to a full-length album that will feature the band’s newest single, “Chico Pum”. The album is scheduled to be released this coming September under the indie music label, Vanana Records.
The band has seen recent success in Spain and with fans streaming over the internet, their music has seen that same success. The group released a fun video to go along with the single. The video features the band members as a basketball team and they all fall in love with the dreamy lion mascot. The mascot dates them all and when the girls find out, they beat him with instruments at their prom. It is comical, fun, and entertaining. The song is just as fun.
Looking forward to more music from this band, as well as going back to listen to their previous EP.
