The new single, “No Es Barato” is a collaboration between artists, Bearoid and Ganges. Both indie Spanish artists with a handful of singles and albums. The song was recommend to me on this week’s Apple Music New Music playlist. I love the list because I can learn new artists and hear music that I would not normally find.
Indie music is super big in Spain. Daily, I am finding new music and artists to add to my growing catalog. This week, I am introduced to these two new artists. The song meets all of my conditions to be added. The song is fun. It is upbeat. And I like their vocals. It doesn’t get much simpler than that for me to like the song. And I do. “No Es Barato” (Its Isn’t Cheap) is a sweet little pop song that makes me want to explore these two artists.
As for the video. Wow… I am not sure the reasoning behind it but I could make a much better video. There is a lot to be desired with it. I know with indie artists there isn’t a lot of money on the table for outstanding videos. The video was shot on a telephone and shot upright, not even so it fits the screen properly. I don’t know if intentional or not, probably was but I think that it was more annoying than clever.
Overall, the song is good. Skip the video.
