In 1983, I began watching the Mexican television variety show, Siempre En Domingo in order to see Menudo. I watched the show religiously, just to see the guys. At the time, the show ran about 6 hours long and I would videotape while I went to bed in case I missed them. During this time, I learned about artists such as Yuri and Los Chamos but nothing really tickled my fancy like Menudo.
It was in 1986 that my life changed. I was watching Siempre En Domingo when four girls came out on stage singing and dancing. After the commercial, three boys came out to sing with the four girls. My world changed as I learned about the group, Timbiriche. On that same episode, Flans came out too.Â
Over the next three decades, I began and became a pure breed GRINGO, who loved Latin pop and rock music. I have met countless artists, collected numerous albums, and love has never faltered. It was thanks to Siempre En Domingo, that I have embraced a “Latin” world of music that I don’t understand but love.Â
This website is not affiliated with the show, nor Televisa, or Raul Velesco. It is because of the show, I was exposed to wonderful music and I hope to expose other non-Spanish speaking music fans to this wonderful genre of music. Therefore, this website is called SIEMPRE EN DOMINGO.Â
To make this website a bit more unique, we are only posting on Sundays. So…. Aún hay más!
